Set Up: Install The Chrome Extension
Our system is comprised of two distinct parts: the Web App and the Chrome Extension.
The Chrome Extension brings GroupTrack's functionality directly within Social Media sites.
This article walks you through getting the Chrome Extension installed.
Install the Chrome Web Browser
The Chrome Extension needs to be installed in Google's Chrome Web Browser (or another Chromium-based web browser like Microsoft Edge).
If you don't have Chrome, please go here to install it.
Installing the GroupTrack CRM Chrome Extension
- Go directly to the GroupTrack CRM Extension page, or
- Open Chrome Webstore and search for "GroupTrack CRM"
- Click "Add to Chrome"
You will be prompted to confirm that the Extension will have access to certain Social Media website URL's.
Migrating from the Beta Chrome Extension to Production
GroupTrack has a Beta version of it's Chrome Extension that will sometimes be active for a limited group of users to test new functionality.
While you can have both the Beta and Production versions of GroupTrack's Extension installed, only one can be active at a given time.
To confirm this, go to your Chrome Extension Management page and search for "GroupTrack". Ensure that only one of the results is toggled in the Active position.
Tip: "Pin" the GroupTrack Icon to your browser's extensions toolbar!
You can do this by clicking the puzzle piece icon ( ) and then click the "pin" icon next to GroupTrack CRM
Notes: IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SOCIAL TRACKING CHROME EXTENSION YOU WILL NEED TO DISABLE THEM FOR GROUPTRACK TO WORK PROPERLY
Note: The GroupTrack "Hero Icon" () in your browser's extensions toolbar will only be active (highlighted and in color) when on a valid Social Media site
