This document explains how GroupTrack CRM ensures compliance and security for your data and interactions with social media platforms. It covers our data protection measures, privacy policies, and adherence to the terms of service of platforms like Facebook™.


Data Security and Privacy

How Your Data is Protected

  • Your data is securely stored in our cloud servers and is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
  • All data for your team is isolated at a root level from the data of all other teams, ensuring that there is no way to access data from another team accidentally or purposefully.
  • Your data is never sold to anyone or shared with any third party without your explicit consent, such as in the case of third-party integrations you configure.

Compliance with Social Media Platforms

Facebook™ Integration and Compliance

  • Platform Compliance: GroupTrack CRM does not violate any social media platform’s terms of service. We ensure that our integrations comply with each platform’s terms.
  • Approvals and Endorsements: While GroupTrack CRM is not officially endorsed or approved by any social media platform, we do obtain approvals for the parts of our interaction that can or need to be approved.
  • Usage Guidelines: You can safely use our platform as long as you do so in accordance with our Terms of Service. Below is a detailed explanation of how we comply with Facebook™’s terms:

  1. Facebook™ Social Login Button:
    • We utilize Facebook™’s Social Login button for access to our app, fully approved by Facebook™ through our Developer Account and App Profile.
    • We are a Verified Business with Facebook™ and conduct annual Data Use Checkups to ensure our account remains in good standing.
  2. Terms of Service:
    • Section 2.3 of Facebook™’s Terms of Service states that you are not allowed to collect data using “automated means” or access data without permission. GroupTrack does not engage in automated data collection and only accesses data you manually direct it to
  3. Automated Data Collection Terms:
    • This document refers to “harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers” designed to collect as much data as possible from websites. GroupTrack does not engage in this activity. Our extension only accesses specific pieces of information that you manually direct it to.
  4. Facebook™ Platform Terms:
    • These terms dictate how we, as a Tech Provider, handle your data in connection with our app. Specifically, Section 5.b states that we will only use and process your data on behalf of and at your direction. Our terms of service with you ensure compliance with Facebook™’s standards.
