How To: Create Tags

GroupTrack tags help you organize and manage contacts within the system. By applying tags to contact cards, you can easily segment leads based on actions, interests, or stages in your pipeline. These tags work entirely within GroupTrack, allowing you to track and customize interactions

Introduction

Purpose:

Tags are essential tools for organizing and tracking contacts within GroupTrack CRM. By creating custom tags, you can categorize contacts based on their characteristics, activities, or other relevant criteria. This guide walks you through the process of creating and managing tags.

Note: you will notice that some tags come pre-loaded for you in GroupTrack


Definitions:

  • Tag: A label that can be applied to a contact to identify certain attributes, behaviors, or statuses.
  • Tag Category: A group under which similar tags are organized, making it easier to find and apply tags when needed.
  • The tag category here is Lead Source, the individual tags within that category are Friends List, IG Followers Life, Facebook Group

Steps

Creating Tag Categories

  1. In the Webapp, go to Settings > Tags

  1. You will notice that some tags and categories come pre-loaded in your system. You can use these, edit them, delete them, etc.

  1. To create a new Tag Category, click on Add Tag Category in the top right and then either select the option to import from a template or start from scratch


  1. Give your Tag Category a name and customize the category color


Creating Tags

  1. Click in the tag category to create a tag
  2. Type the name of the tag and hit enter
  3. Create as many tags as you want in each category
