Introduction

Purpose

Duplicate contacts in GroupTrack CRM can happen for various reasons, but you can easily resolve this using the Merge function. This feature allows you to combine data from two or more duplicate contacts into a single, unified record.


Scope

This guide is intended for all GroupTrack CRM users who need to manage duplicate contacts by merging their data into one contact record.


What You Can Merge

Using the Merge function, you can combine the following data from duplicate contact records:

  • Pipelines
  • Tags
  • Membership questions
  • Contact details

Steps to Merge Duplicate Contacts

  1. Access the Merge Function:
    • Navigate to either the Table View or Pipeline View in GroupTrack CRM.
    • Locate the Bulk Actions button in the top right corner of the screen and click it.

      Select Duplicate Contacts:

    • Use the interface to select two or more duplicate contact records.
    • Once they are selected, click "Merge Contacts"

    • Choose Data to Keep:
    • The merge menu will appear, allowing you to decide which data to keep from each of the duplicate contact cards.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select the preferred data fields.

    • Finalize the Merge:
    • Once you’ve made your selections, click the blue "Run Bulk Action" button at the bottom of the page.

    • The duplicate contacts will be combined into a single record with the data you selected.
