How To: Login to GroupTrack CRM

GroupTrack CRM is a powerful tool designed to help you manage your contacts and interactions directly from social media platforms. The system is comprised of two key components: the Web App and the Chrome Extension. For GroupTrack to function properly, you must be logged into both parts.

This help doc will walk you through the steps for logging in to both the Web App and the Chrome Extension.


What is the Web App and Chrome Extension?

  • Web App: The Web App is where you manage your GroupTrack CRM settings, pipelines, contacts, and more.
  • Chrome Extension: The Chrome Extension brings GroupTrack's functionality directly within social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. This is where GroupTrack works its magic by allowing you to interact with social media data.

Both components must be used in tandem to ensure GroupTrack operates properly.


How to Log In to the Web App

  1. Open the Web App:

    Navigate to the GroupTrack CRM Web App

  2. Sign In:

    Enter your email address and password to log in.

Make sure you're using the email and password associated with your GroupTrack account.


Please note, the first time you go to this screen, you will need to click Reset Password. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password and login.



How to Log In to the Chrome Extension

  1. Open Chrome:

    GroupTrack is a Chrome extension and only works on a Chrome browser. Ensure you’re using Google Chrome.

    Access the Extension:

    Click on the GroupTrack extension icon in your browser’s extension bar (located near the top-right corner of your Chrome window).

    Sign In:

    Enter the same email and password you used to log in to the Web App. This ensures your Chrome Extension is connected to the same account.

  1. Tip: Pin the GroupTrack Icon to Your Browser:

    For easy access, you can "pin" the GroupTrack icon to your browser’s extension toolbar:

    • Click on the puzzle piece icon in your browser's extension bar.
    • Find GroupTrack CRM in the list and click the pin icon next to it. This will keep the GroupTrack icon visible at all times for quicker access.

To see if you are logged into the extension when you are in the Web App, you should see this icon in the top right near your name.

If the extension is installed and you are properly logged in, you will see this message

If you have the extension installed, but need to log in, you will see this mesage
if you need to install the extension, please click the puzzle piece icon and search for GroupTrack CRM


Important Notes

  • Other Extensions: If you have any other social tracking Chrome extensions installed, you will need to disable them for GroupTrack to work properly. Having multiple tracking extensions running can interfere with GroupTrack’s functionality.
  • Hero Icon Activation: The GroupTrack "Hero Icon" in your browser’s extension toolbar will only be active (highlighted and in color) when you are on a valid social media site (such as Facebook or Instagram). If the icon is grayed out, you are likely not on a supported platform.
