Introduction

Purpose

This help document will help you better understand why your message may not have been delivered and what you can do about it. While message sending is typically seamless in GroupTrack CRM, platform changes or delays can occasionally cause issues that interrupt automations or manual sending.

Scope

This guide applies to all GroupTrack CRM users who send messages—whether manually or using the bulk messaging feature—on any supported platform (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

What This Message Failure Means

GroupTrack tried to load the contact’s social media profile to send your message, but instead of getting a real name, the social media platform returned “[platform] User”—which usually means there’s no valid profile to message.

This can happen when:

The profile was deleted or deactivated
It’s a spam or fake account the social media platform is blocking
The ID is invalid or broken
It’s a brand new profile that the social media platform hasn’t “approved” for messaging yet

Translation:

We knocked on the social media platform's door, and it basically said: “Who dis?”

What you can do:

✅ Go to the contact’s profile in GroupTrack and click their social link

✅ If the social media profile loads and has a valid Message button, go ahead and message them manually

✅ If the profile is blank, deleted, or fake—update their stage in GroupTrack so you don’t waste time trying again

This one’s not a tool bug—it’s social media protecting its turf (and sometimes blocking sketchy accounts along the way).
