Introduction

Purpose

This help document will help you better understand why your message may not have been delivered and what you can do about it. While message sending is typically seamless in GroupTrack CRM, platform changes or delays can occasionally cause issues that interrupt automations or manual sending.


Scope

This guide applies to all GroupTrack CRM users who send messages—whether manually or using the bulk messaging feature—on any supported platform (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).


What This Message Failure Means

GroupTrack tried to send your message—but the social media platform responded with something that didn’t quite line up. Specifically, the ID of the person you’re messaging doesn’t match the conversation that actually loaded.

In plain English: we’re not 100% sure the message was going to be sent to the right person—and we’d much rather fail safely than risk sending it to the wrong contact.

Translation:

“Wait… who are we talking to again?” – GroupTrack, cautiously.

What you can do:

✅ Head to Messenger and check if the message went through to the correct person

✅ In GroupTrack, click the contact’s social profile link—make sure it loads their actual social media profile, if it’s not correct, you can edit the social link in GT

✅ If something seems off, search their name in GT and check for duplicate profiles

➡️ If there are duplicates, merge them so the right contact is linked to the right profile moving forward

Sometimes this is just a mismatch. Sometimes it’s social media being weird. Either way, we’re being careful on purpose—because sending messages to the wrong lead is worse than not sending them at all.

Clean it up, double-check it, and you’re good to go. 🔧
